Man of the Match: Mahendra Singh Dhoni

Pakistan had been indebted to an unbeaten 83 from Mohammad Yousuf for getting up to 239-7 from their 50 overs after winning the toss and choosing to bat first.
Captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Yuvraj Singh both made half-centuries to help India claim a five-wicket victory over Pakistan in the first one-day international in Guwahati today.

Chasing a victory target of 240, the pair put on a century partnership for the fourth wicket which allowed India to go 1-0 up in the five-match series.
